Project Description
Reducing Harm
Many people from all walks of life use alcohol and other substances including legal, prescribed
and sometimes illicit ones. This isn’t always harmful and it’s important to remember many of our participants have no such issues.
However where excessive use is combined with food poverty and the kinds of social exclusion that come with Homelessness, the harm involved is massively increased
Foodstuff addresses this in direct and in-direct ways. In the best case scenarios we see our affected participants recover completely but we always see an improvement because just by attending they are accessing a healthy diet and the kinds of positive social networks the rest of us can more easily rely on.
CHANGE A LIFE TODAY
Harm reduction values life, choice, respect and compassion over judgement, stigma, discrimination and punishment
