Another way to volunteer is through our Collection Team. Donations and Collections

Here volunteers work in a rota collecting both food and clothes donations from local businesses. We have increased our partnerships to additional stores to ensure a sustainable supply of goods – so more help is really useful. This role may suit those wanting to help the charity who have restricted time to commit to the charity.

Donations are collected regularly from several local food producers and suppliers – these range from family run businesses to large supermarkets.  The rota for volunteers is organised by our Operations Manager – and she will give guidance as to what types of donations are helpful. The rota is arranged so that supplies are collected on a regular basis to ensure food is available for all sessions and that any wastage is very minimal.

We also receive donations of clothing from Oxfam – and again a rota is in place for this regular collection.
